Barbara Garvey Curran is a creative director and designer with over 25 years experience. Prior to forming her own firm, she was the creative director for The Disney Catalog, a start-up division for the Walt Disney Corporation. At Disney, she was responsible for the creative direction, design and photography of The Disney Catalog producing 21 catalogs annually. Under her direction, sales increased for The Disney Catalog from $50,000,000 in 1995 to $220,000,000 in 1998 and she managed a creative budget of over $2,000,000 annually. She was awarded the Catalog Age Gold Award in 1996 for the Disney Holiday catalog.
Before The Disney Catalog, Barbara was responsible for starting Lenox Collections’ first in-house graphic design department, resulting in estimated cost savings of $250,000. She managed and executed graphic design for direct mail brochures and media advertising. She was responsible for developing concepts, directing photo shoots, and managing in-house and freelance design staff. Barbara has a BS in Graphic Design from Drexel University.
